Depicting single objects hanging from threads; my work contemplates the duality of hope and fear. The potential energy inherent in a suspended object reflects optimism while the tautness of the thread hints at the weight of uncertainty. It is this dual nature of gravity that most interests me - gravity defined both as grave consequence and as the fundamental law wherein we all trust. (edited 11/22/2008)
