I love the way the light is held in this one. Beautiful series, Mary.

You have outdone yourself with these last few, Mary. Love the title on this one, it is perfect and oh so true!

Did you have a nice holiday? Sorry, I have been a bit reclusive and didn't wish you a good holiday season.

Thank you, Susan - I really appreciate your kind words.

I missed my son who is still deployed, Tracy. We did have a good visit with our older two boys, though. I hope you had a good holiday with your family.

Happy New Year to you both!

Happy New Year to you Mary. Did you read Stravinsky's Lunch. I do hope that you enjoyed it. Debbie.

I revel in the incongruity between the title and the image. Bliss vs. Resignation.

And it is nicely painted.

Thank you, Steven - that means a lot to me.

I've been keeping my sketchbook on the nightstand lately to catch these titles. For some reason they seem to come most frequently as I'm dozing off. They're a bit of a mystery to me - I'm not quite sure where they're coming from.

Debbie - I've not yet finished the book but have enjoyed it thus far. Thank you again for the recommendation - and best wishes to you, also, for the coming year.
