The scale tweaks me on this one (in a good way).

For some reason, the empty space has more of a identity here. Could it be the potential of being poured into? Like how the gaze of a human can fill an empty space in a painting?

I'm trying to imagine this piece with something other than a vessel and I think it has to do with scale still. That's just a great balance.

The color field is as interesting as the object.

Thanks, Steven.

Sometimes it seems to me that the color field *is* the subject while the object is simply the lure. The color fields take so much more time and thought - they're where most of my energy goes.
